Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
FiveToClose ("we," "us," or "our") operates PrivateTake at https://privatetake.com (the "Service"). PrivateTake is another product of the brand FiveToClose.cloud. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit the site, create an account, complete two-factor authentication, subscribe, or use the local recorder.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Product: PrivateTake
Brand: FiveToClose.cloud
Support email: support@privatetake.com
Website: https://privatetake.com
For privacy requests (access, correction, deletion where applicable), email support@privatetake.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and the email address on your account.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Google account information (OAuth)
When you sign in with Google, we receive information Google authorizes for the scopes we request, typically including your name, email address, profile picture (if available), and unique Google subject identifier. We use this to create and authenticate your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
2.2 Authenticator (2FA) data
After Google sign-in we require TOTP two-factor authentication (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password). We store a server-side TOTP secret associated with your account so we can verify codes you enter. We never see the contents of your authenticator app beyond the six-digit codes you submit for verification.
2.3 Payment and subscription data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or complete bank details on our servers. Stripe may provide us with subscription status, plan type, customer and subscription IDs, billing email, seat quantity (for Business), and limited card metadata needed to manage feature entitlements. Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy and PCI standards.
2.4 Account and operational data
- Account email and display name
- Plan / license / entitlement flags (e.g. Free, Pro, Creator, Business, Lifetime)
- Session cookies used to keep you signed in after 2FA
- Timestamps for account creation and updates
- Optional affiliate or referral attribution if we enable it later
- Basic server logs (IP address, user agent, request paths) for security and reliability
2.5 What we deliberately do not collect
By product design, PrivateTake does not receive or store:
- Screen recordings or any video frames from your display
- Microphone or system audio streams
- Webcam video streams
- Transcripts, captions, or speech-to-text output generated on your device
- Editing timelines, project files, blur-zone contents, or exports
- Contents of windows, tabs, or applications you choose to share with the browser capture API
Capture and editing run in your browser using local APIs (for example MediaRecorder, getDisplayMedia, getUserMedia, and local storage mechanisms). Files you download remain under your control.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate you (Google + 2FA) and protect account access
- Provide free and paid software features according to your plan
- Process subscriptions, refunds (if any), and customer support
- Secure the Service against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
- Improve reliability of the website and account systems (not your video content)
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for signed sessions (after 2FA), OAuth state, and pending 2FA flow. These are required for the Service to function. We do not use advertising cookies to resell your recording content (we never have it). You can clear cookies in your browser; doing so will sign you out.
5. Browser permissions
Screen, camera, and microphone access require your explicit permission in the browser. PrivateTake cannot silently access devices. You may revoke permissions at any time in browser settings. Permission grants are between you and your browser/OS; we do not receive a continuous feed of your devices on our servers.
6. Sharing of information
We share account/billing-related data only with:
- Stripe — payments and subscription management
- Google — when you choose to authenticate via Google OAuth
- Infrastructure providers — hosting for the website and account API (not video storage of your recordings)
- Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell your recordings—because we do not hold them.
7. Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Billing records: retained as required by tax and accounting rules (often via Stripe).
- Video/media: not retained on our servers by design.
You may request deletion of account data by contacting support. Deletion may be limited where we must keep records for legal obligations.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, signed session cookies, mandatory 2FA for non-god accounts, and access controls on production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device, browser, and any exported files.
9. International users
The Service may be hosted in the United States or other locations. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you consent to processing of account data in those locations as described here.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data, or to object to certain uses. Contact support@privatetake.com. We may need to verify control of the account email.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date will change. Material changes may be highlighted on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
